In 1970 Shri Babaji appeared in the historic holy cave situated at the foot of Mount Adi Kailash at Haidakhan, Kumaon. He materialised as a youth of 18 or 20 years.
Babaji spent most of the 14 years of this manifestation at Haidakhan where he established a beautiful ashram and built nine temples on the bank of the River Gautami Ganga. The Haidakhan area and Kumaon Mount Kailash have been spiritually graced with the power of Lord Shiva’s tapasya (penance) for centuries. The main temple at Haidakhan was constructed by Old Haidakhan Baba Himself.

Chilianaula, India
Anandpuri Ashram
Babaji built several other temples and ashrams in India. Below Ranikhet, at a small village called Chilianaula, overlooking the snow-peaked Himalayas, he constructed a large, breathtakingly beautiful temple and ashram. The temple at Chilianaula not only commands a majestic and almost surreal view of the Himalayas, it is also vibrant with a high rate of divine pulsation, second only to the core temple at the main Haidakhan ashram. Its proximity to Ranikhet provides easy access for devotees and tourists.
Thousands of disciples from various countries were and are still receiving Babaji’s blessings by mystically being inspired to come to the spiritual path through extraordinary events, dreams and visions. Many spiritual centres dedicated to Babaji have been established the world over.

Manda Ashram
Shri Babaji inaugurated the Manda temple in the navratri of autumn 1983. The temple has the murtis of Ganeshji, Kali Mata, Batuk Bhairav and Hanumanji. It is surrounded by beautiful mango and chikoo orchards. The rituals at the mandir are conducted in accordance with Babaji's wishes. Every full moon, a yagna is performed and numerous devotees participate in the bhandara.
Following Babaji's wishes, Mahashivratri is the main festival celebrated every year here. On this occasion, Shri Babaji's padukas from Haidakhan are brought by devotees and occasion is celebrated for 3 days. On MahaShivratri night, an all-night Shiv puja is performed with Abhishek.
The Manda trust is meant to serve cows and it is called Shri Bhagwan Shri 1008 Sri Haidyakhandi Gau-Seva ashram where old and stray cows are provided shelter and care.

Bhole Baba Ashram was founded in 1978. Babaji instructed Saraswati to buy an old farmhouse. It took many years of intensive karma yoga to refurbish the old buildings and establish the gardens. With time, some devotees settled in the near vicinity.
